This is my attempt at creating a Best Practices guide for AutoCAD users. I’ve been in the field for ten years now, and in my previous job as a CAD consultant, I’ve seen plenty of AutoCAD drawing packages, some good, some bad. I’ve worked with mechanical, structural, environmental and civil engineers, architects, planners, drafters, designers, developers, owners, surveyors and a monkey or two. Hopefully the subjects included here will help AutoCAD users understand what it takes to create a quality product, as well as offer some useful time-saving tips. Please leave comments – I’m open to modifying these pages based on your feedback.
Also, please check out the rest of the blog – there are a load of tips that I haven’t included in the Best Practices section.
This page has the following sub pages.
